this unusual large shell cameo brooch framing the profile of a lady.
A lady with a comparatively plain hair-do
and manner of dress; not what you find on most cameos but rather in the style of the Greeks or Romans.
She appears to be wearing a two piece tunic style dress,
has a matching head covering around her hair that is styled in a bun with long side ringlets hanging down along
side her neck.
The detailing is nicely done.
Simple in design, but a well made interesting & unusual cameo.
The 14K frame
is embellished with a twisted 14K rope chain edging.
