Exceptionally nice, all original, three in one, black plastic ( molded Tenite) Platé
Trio-Ette vintage ladies makeup compact made by the House of Platé.
The front has a deeply embossed rose with leaves and the outer rim has a raised beaded
design that also surrounds the lipstick holder on the end of the handle.
Turned over, there
is a mirror on the back. Three mirrors total and all have slight age hazing when turned to the light.
If you open the mirror side of the compact there is a mirror
and a full rouge well with original Platé puff.
Opening the rose side of the compact, there is an empty powder
well with original sifter, puff and another mirror!!
Hidden
in the end of the handle there is a pull out lipstick. The lipstick is gone but the slide mechanism still works
fine.
No cracks, repairs or issues.
This compact is, overall, in very fine condition with only minor surface scratches on the
front.
All parts are present,
all hinges and closures in excellent working order.
A unique, most clever, collectable
novelty compact that originally sold for under ten dollars in the mid 1940's..
