Mondaine Figural Victorian Lady Compact

Beautiful antique Mondaine figural compact in black enamel and gold tone trim with Victorian lady 'cameo' framed on the front. The picture of the lady is some type of early plastic that is framed with an engraved gold design.

The gold tone trim is dark in places and could be polished out. However, I have left this compact in original found condition. The back is in fairly good condition showing normal wear with no serious condition issues. Clasp and hinge in excellent working condition.

Inside are three compartments that held rouge, powder and lipstick. The lipstick is still in tact with original paper cover. The fancy Mondaine name covers the lipstick well.

Powder and rouge are long gone but still have their original used puffs. The beveled mirror shows areas of age/cracking around the edges, attesting to the age of this compact. The mirror damage is minor and the mirror is entirely usable.

A lovely, collectible antique compact.
