LINENS & TEXTILES denote a touch of class, whatever their purpose. When we use
fine vintage linens or textiles, when the fine napkins and tablecloths appear, we straighten our backs a little
straighter and put forth our best manners because we know and have learned many are used for special occasions. They
provide relief from common, everyday, ordinary life, lifting our spirits that something special is afoot.
We may dress up a room with fine linens, or hang a fabulous textile
to make a statement about ourselves, setting our castles, and us, apart from the rest of the world. We are also
paying homage to those who came before us.
All
of our items are used vintage or antique, so they are not perfect, but it also means many of these items are
hand worked, hand stitched, handmade and not mass produced; offering you and me the opportunity to own, appreciate and
enjoy something that was made with love, effort, and someone's creative time.
When you think about it, many such items are true works of art worthy of our enjoyment,
appreciation, and our care in order to pass them on to future generations; the things our great grandmother's, grandmother's,
aunts, and friends created for themselves and for all of us to use, admire and enjoy.
With proper
care fine linens and textiles will last many generations.
While most items are in excellent vintage condition,
any problems will be noted in description.
