Antique
unsigned handmade petit point scenic handbag depicting a family of four; Mother, Father, and two children picnicking
and feeding the birds in the woods.
This is extremely small petit point and while the tag is missing, this bag is same
quality as Austrian Jolles purses and is most likely Austrian made.
The gusset is roses
and scrolls with blue for-get-me-nots.
Inside is
flesh colored silk material with two pockets and is in good, usable condition. It has obviously been used having
a few use spots.
The gold tone frame is set with a fancy mother-of-pearl clasp, with petit point rectangles
on each side.
The background is a dark beige color with the scenery done in
vibrant reds, blues, greens, browns and shades of violet and purples.
There is no fading on either
side, with the purse being in excellent antique condition with no wear or pulls to the petit point. Even the piping on the
gusset is in excellent condition.
