This vintage 1960's handbag is
made of the finest La Marquise woven French tapestry depicting a serene country cottage scene with a foot bridge
and pastoral trees.
It is all
done in beautiful muted colors of blue greens, rusts, dark brown and beige.
It is the same scene on both sides.
The 3" wide gusset makes this a nice sizeable bag and is done in chintz style forget-me-not
flowers, giving a nice and interesting contrast to the entire handbag.
.
The French are known for producing the finest woven tapestry in the world, whether it is old or present day;
handmade or machine made.
The moss green satin lining in this
bag is in pristine condition and has one zippered pocket, one open pocket and a nice attached coin purse trimmed in black.
The frame is brass with an etched
design and the clasp works well.
