Adorable child's
vintage 3 piece winter white fur set consisting of a hat, scarf, and muff doubling as a purse, circa 1930's.
The exceptionally soft white fur is probably fox or rabbit with
real ermine tails trimming the scarf; although I wonder if the whole set is Ermine? I don't know. The
clean white fur is in amazingly fine condition and is very soft. This set was well taken care of and represents
a fine era (1920's 1930's) of children's fine apparel. The entire set is clean with no stains, tears or issues.
Two little white fox faces, with pearl chains, adorn the front of the muff purse. The purse
within the muff has a gold tone frame with a twist kiss closeure and reveals a clean white lining inside. The white lined
muff also has a white cord handle for hanging when not in use.
The white lined fur scarf has a finished opening so the scarf can be slipped through to
stay in place around the neck.
The fur hat has ear flaps and a gros grain ribbon chin strap for optional securing.
This is a well made, quality vintage set with much attention to finishing details.
This is a museum quality set of children's period clothing.
The little girl in the picture is an average sized six year old. The hat is a tiny bit
small for her, so perhaps this set is for a little girl ranging in age from 4 to 6. This set would also be appropriate for
a large doll.
